Camera Ready Cosmetics!

Admist the snowstorm this past week, a little yellow envelope managed to make it through the tundra and to my front door (God bless you, Mr. Mailman. You are too good to me). It was from my friends at camera ready cosmetics & it happened to be one of their lip palettes by Graftobian.

Camera Ready Cosmetics is fantastic if you do makeup for other people since they offer a ton of palettes and multi-purpose items that can be blended and used for different things, etc... They carry a variety of different brands (including airbrush makeup) & pride themselves on good old fashioned customer service & keeping shipping reasonable! If only more companies had that idea, right?! I think it's cool that they have a lowest price guarantee, as well.

Here's the palette they sent me for review:

The big palette picture was taken with the flash off & the cover open, the smaller one is with the cover on and flash on (the colors look wayyyy lighter than they are in this palette). The colors go on pretty smooth. I applied them with my fingers since I freaking HATE cleaning lip brushes, but they'd certainly pick up easily with a brush (i.e. if you're using them on clients, friends, etc...). The swatches are pretty dead on in terms of how the color looks on your lips. I've been using the nude color (far left) almost every day under a gloss and it's a perfect look that isn't too over the top for work. Another nice thing is how blendable they are, and in that fine photograph of my luscious lips - I blended the two far left colors (nude & pink) together. You can easily darken up the lighter colors with the two darker shades (it's nice that they give you a red AND  brown), too if you're looking for something more dramatic. For $20.99 - it's a little expensive but you're definitely getting high quality lip color that's pretty multi-purpose, too. This palette color is "fashion", but the website has a few variations if you're looking for different shades. Check out what they have to offer & let me know if you'll be trying anything from CRC.
