Alot of people ask me why I started Unnecessarydrama.net & the truth is, this wasn't always a beauty blog. When I graduated college in 2008, I started the blog to kind of keep up with my extremely lengthy career search & keep myself sane while I was unemployed. As time went on, I just kept writing about things that I enjoyed and eventually - makeup ended up taking center stage. I got the best feedback on my cosmetics-related posts and slowly but surely - unnecessarydrama.net evolved from a personal blog to a beauty blog. Instead of forcing myself to start a blog with on specific topic - I sort of let it develop into what it is today on its own. I think that reason alone is why I still love blogging and have made the site a huge part of my life.
Unnecessarydrama.net focuses on real world, down-to-earth beauty tips, tricks, and reviews by yours truly. If I don't like a product, I'll tell you. If I love a product - I'll definitely tell you. My goal is to give my readers relate-able posts that are not only fun to read, but informative, too. I value every ounce of feedback, every e-mail, and every comment. I truly create this site with my readers in mind. Afterall - who else am I doing this for?
I'm constantly looking to promote the blog and expand the number of companies and brands that I work with. Social media has become a huge part of what I do, and Twitter has allowed me to meet so many of my amazing readers. I'm thankful for every opportunity this site has given me and I look forward to many more in the future! xo
