Suggestions Welcome!

I get bored easily when it comes to my look. I think it's part of the reason I love makeup so much - I can do something different every single day. I think my desire to constantly be altering things has a lot to do with the fact that I'm just a downright creative person. It's in my blood.

Most of you know that I've had the long blonde locks for quite some time. I like my long hair, and it's not really the length I'm interested in changing. To be quite honest - I'm not really sure what it is that I'm interested in changing. I don't know much about hair, but I know that I want something different.

So what would you ladies suggest? If there's anybody I trust to give me advice on what I should do with my head, it's you beautiful chickas. Color suggestions? Highlights? Lowlights? If you've got hair knowledge - definitely throw your two cents in! So gimme whatcha got, I'm looking to schedule something in the next week or so. Best believe I'll post pictures once the deed is done :) Here's a quick one of what the mop looks like as of late... Nothing too exciting:

Let me know what you guys think!

Cosmo Blog Awards!

Hello Ladies!

Upon doing some browsing online during work today (it's been a really busy one.. TRUST ME) - I noticed that the UK version of Cosmo is hosting a little "blog awards" competition and one of the categories *just so happens* to be beauty.

My competitive edge came out.. full force.

I'm asking all of my lovely readers to take the time to go to THIS SITE and enter http://www.unnecessarydrama.net/ for consideration for the beauty category. I know it's a long shot because I know that there are a bajillion beauty blogs out there on the web - but wouldn't it be sweet? Let's represent for all the sarcastic pretty bitches out there, shall we? I like to think my blog is much different than alot of the other "beauty" websites out there, so getting the name out there would be nothing short of phenomenal

So tweet the link (http://tinyurl.com/38mchom), repost on your blog, make a t-shirt - I don't care! Just take the 3 seconds to give us a quick nom in the competition and you'll have my undying gratitude. Which is way better than lipgloss.. Okay - ALMOST better.

Help Kelli Choose a Prom Look!

So for those of you who haven't been readers for awhile, I do makeup every year for a few girls for prom and homecoming. The dance is coming up next week and my good friend Kelli (sweet name, right?) had me do a "trial run" to try and decide what direction we wanted to go in terms of eye makeup.

I did two different looks on her and we're having a tough time deciding - so I figured who better to turn to than my loyal and gorgeous readers, right? RIGHT. Here's a a picture of her dress so you have an idea of what we're trying to match to:

Hotness!

So onto the good stuff.. Here are the two different looks.
Let us know if you like "Darker" or "Bluer" better by commenting below!

Oh! And remember - she'll have fake lashes on, too..
We just threw a little liq liner on the edges
to darken up her lash line for the pictures :)

Here's a little closer look -

(we had to throw a little vogue in there)

We appreciate your help, bb's! xo

UD's Most Wanted... HELP!

Now I am no MAC lover by any means. I don't know much about the brand and I own very few MAC products. I try and find similar items and I usually end up doing so and they're usually half the price. As you all know, the bargain shopper in me would expect no less. There is, however, one item that I have been trying to find a match for and I have deemed it physically impossible:

SAINT FREAKING GERMAIN

Conveniently, I can't find this little bitch anywhere. And I am 100% skeptical about getting it off of eBay because we saw how the little Trade Tang incident ended up. And that was down the shitter. So this is where you guys come in handy because you're both wonderful and you love makeup. If you guys own a gently used Saint Germain, a new one, or you know that your MAC counter has one.. I am totally looking for someone to do a swap with. If any of you can help me out with this, please shoot me an email ( kelspot@gmail.com ).

I will love you forever.

Lip Gloss Swap.. Are YOU In??

So today, I sent out the scarf to my partner for the Scarf Swap I participated in that was hosted by Loves of Life & it was such a great idea that I wanted to host my own swap. Since all of us here are beauty queens.. I thought "What could be more appropriate than a LIP GLOSS SWAP?!" The way that it works is that you sign up (read all my rules first, please.. it will save me from having to drown myself in a sea of ibuprofen) and when you are given a partner - you buy them lipgloss and in return, you will receive lipgloss from them!

CUTE. EASY. FUN.
(two out of the three of these are also good qualities to have in yourself.
You can decide which one doesn't belong in that category!)

Here are the rules & regulations:

The LGS (lip gloss swap) will be open for entries until October 15th! This gives us a good two weeks to spread the word & get plenty of swappers involved! Please use the banner @ the bottom of this entry to link this post on your blog!

1. If you would like to participate - please comment on this post with your e-mail address. Please - US Mailing addresses only! I will contact everyone once the deadline for entries has ended & send you your partner's e-mail address so you can exchange mailing information. Please be sure that you actively check your e-mail!

2. If you leave me your e-mail address, you are agreeing to participate in the swap! You are taking responsibility, so please be sure you are able to FULLY PARTICIPATE!

3. Lip Glosses should be in a price range of $5 - $15.. Whether or not you choose to get your partner a 'set of glosses' is up to you - but let's not cheap out and send a Lip Smacker, eh? Try and find a unique brand! Buy your partner something really fun :o)

4. Please be sure to put your gloss in the mail between October 20th & October 25th. This way, we will all be receiving our glosses at the same time & will know when to expect them! If you want to discuss mailing dates with your partner once you have each others emails.. that would be great, too!!

5. Finally, be sure to post an entry on your new present once you have received it! We will all be able to see the different kinds of glosses that were sent out! IT'S GONNA BE EXCITING! :D

So sign up with your e-mail below & link back with the banner underneath this :o) I can't wait to bring some of my sassy blogger's together via lipgloss! MWAH!

New Brushes & WTF are These?

So I got home today and WOOHOO! I had a little package waiting for me. I was hoping they would come today and they definitely did. I ordered some new makeup brushes off of eBay from Korea a few weeks ago and they ended up being super cute :o) They aren't a brand name or anything, but I got them as a nice set to take on the road with me since they came with a nice little roll up pouch. The pink tips were intriguing, too - you gotta admit they are totally cute. Plus, for $8 (that included shipping) .. I couldn't pass them up. I'm impressed at how soft they are. I think I'm going to replace my current blush brush with this one because it's so so soft. I love that. Check them out:

Also, totally a dumb girl thing, but I love that they perfecly match the case. The pink hardware is great, too!

Now here is where I need the help of my followers. These are from Korea and all the girls I've ordered from over there are all adorably generous and always throw in bonus things. Typically it's stickers or hair clips or something along those lines.. this time - I got something that I have absolutely NO IDEA what they are. The only other person home to ask at the time I opened the box was my dad, and when I showed him - he just laughed (so obviously.. no help there).. Here they are:
Of course, nothing on the package is english - but to summarize.. they are basically 2 sheets of what seem to be the "rough" side of vel-cro.. about the size of a card & when I resorted to the back of the package to see what the hell they were used for - I found pictures of girls wearing them STUCK to their head awkwardly.. Is this some type of fashion craze we're missing out on here in the US or am I just completely lost?? Someone help? Please?

xoxo
